1. These Terms
1.1 What these terms cover
These are the terms and conditions upon which we licence the My Favourite Garage App to you. By using the My Favourite Garage App you agree to these terms. If you do not agree to these terms, please stop using and delete the My Favourite Garage App.
1.2 Why you should read them
Please read these terms carefully before you register for a My Favourite Garage account. By ticking the “I have read and agree to the terms and conditions of My Favourite Garage” checkbox, you agree to these terms.
These terms tell you who we are, what we are licensing you to use, how you may use and not use the My Favourite Garage App, how you and we may change or end the licence agreement, what to do if there is a problem, and other important information.

1.3 Meaning of “My Favourite Garage App”
“My Favourite Garage App” means the My Favourite Garage mobile application and related features, including vehicle reminders, vehicle management tools, garage communications and booking functionality.
2. Information About Us and How to Contact Us
2.1 Who we are
We are Vehicle Management Systems Limited trading as My Favourite Garage, a company registered in England and Wales.

2.2 How to contact us
You can contact us via www.myfavouritegarage.com or by emailing [email protected].
2.3 How we may contact you
If we have to contact you, we will generally do so by email, or by another method selected by you when creating or updating your account, such as SMS or push notifications.
2.4 Writing
When we use the words “writing” or “written” in these terms, this includes emails, SMS and push notifications.
3. Our Licence Agreement With You
3.1 How we accept your account application
Our acceptance of your account will take place when you accept these terms and we make the App available to you, at which point a licence agreement will come into existence between you and us.
3.2 If we cannot accept your account registration
If we are unable to accept your account registration, we will inform you in writing.
3.3 Accounts created by your garage
Your garage may create a My Favourite Garage account on your behalf, or import your details into the platform from their existing systems. Where this happens, you will be notified and invited to use the App.
You must review and accept these terms when you first log in before using the App. Your garage will be set as your Linked Garage by default, although you may change this at any time via Settings > Switch Garage within the App.
If you do not wish to use the App, you may decline the invitation or request removal of your account by contacting us at [email protected].
3.4 What the licence provides
The licence grants you the right to use the My Favourite Garage App, the data supplied with the service and any updates or supplements to it, in accordance with these terms.
3.5 Territory
We currently licence the My Favourite Garage App for use in the United Kingdom, including Northern Ireland. The App is currently intended for vehicles registered in the United Kingdom. We may support additional territories, including the Republic of Ireland, in future.
3.6 App Store and Google Play terms
Use of the My Favourite Garage App may also be subject to Apple App Store or Google Play Store terms. Those terms apply between you and the relevant app store provider. These terms apply between you and us.
3.7 Age
You must be 16 or over to accept these terms and use the My Favourite Garage App.
3.8 Transfer
The licence to use the My Favourite Garage App is granted to you personally. You may not otherwise transfer the My Favourite Garage App to someone else. If you sell or dispose of any device upon which the My Favourite Garage App is installed, you must remove the App from that device first.
3.9 Licence restrictions
You agree that you will:
- Not rent, lease, sub-licence, loan, provide, or otherwise make available the My Favourite Garage App in any form, in whole or in part, to any person without our prior written consent.
- Not copy the My Favourite Garage App except as part of normal use or where necessary for back-up or operational security.
- Not translate, merge, adapt, vary, alter or modify the whole or any part of the My Favourite Garage App.
- Not disassemble, decompile, reverse engineer or create derivative works based on the whole or any part of the My Favourite Garage App, except to the extent permitted by law.
- Comply with all applicable technology control or export laws and regulations that apply to the technology used or supported by the My Favourite Garage App.
3.10 Acceptable use restrictions
You must:
- Not use the My Favourite Garage App in any unlawful manner, for any unlawful purpose, or in any manner inconsistent with these terms.
- Not act fraudulently or maliciously, including by hacking into or inserting malicious code, viruses or harmful data into the My Favourite Garage App or any operating system.
- Not infringe our intellectual property rights or those of any third party.
- Not transmit any material that is defamatory, offensive or otherwise objectionable.
- Not use the App in a way that could damage, disable, overburden, impair or compromise our systems or security.
- Not collect, harvest, scrape or attempt to decipher information, data or transmissions from the My Favourite Garage App or supporting servers.
3.11 Use of the App
In return for complying with these terms, you may:
- Download or stream a copy of the My Favourite Garage App onto your devices and use it for your personal purposes only.
- Receive and use any free supplementary software code or updates, including patches and corrections of errors.
4. Operating System Requirements
4.1 Supported devices and operating systems
The My Favourite Garage App is designed and supported for use on Android mobile phones and iOS devices only. It is not tested or supported on tablets, televisions or other device types.
The App requires a minimum of iOS 15.1 or Android 7, and an active internet connection. The App will only function on devices meeting these minimum requirements.
4.2 Operating system updates
The My Favourite Garage App is intended to work with supported versions of iOS and Android as they may be updated from time to time. Updates to your device operating system may affect App functionality.
5. The My Favourite Garage App
5.1 Linked Garage
When you register through the My Favourite Garage App, you must enter a valid garage code. Your account will be linked to the garage associated with that code.
If your account is created or imported by a garage, that garage will be set as your Linked Garage by default. Your Linked Garage can be changed at any time via Settings > Switch Garage within the App.
5.2 Vehicle Information
Vehicle information may be entered by you, entered by your garage, imported by your garage from its existing systems, or retrieved using your vehicle registration number through third-party vehicle data providers such as Vehicle Data Global Ltd.
Vehicle information may include MOT status, MOT due dates, tax information, make, model and other vehicle details.
5.3 Reminder Services
The App may allow you or your garage to add, manage or receive reminders for:
- MOT
- Tax
- Service
- Lease
- Insurance
- Breakdown cover
- Front tyres
- Rear tyres
- Front brakes
- Rear brakes
- Battery replacement
- Battery check
- Extended warranty
- Wiper blades
- Cam belt
The submission, creation or selection of a reminder does not guarantee that a reminder will be issued, delivered, received, accurate or delivered on time.
You remain solely responsible for ensuring that your vehicle is taxed, insured, roadworthy, maintained and compliant with all legal requirements.
5.4 Bookings
On-platform bookings submitted through the My Favourite Garage App are booking requests only and are not confirmed unless and until your Linked Garage confirms them.
Off-platform bookings handled through third-party booking systems may be treated as confirmed bookings. The App may display different wording depending on whether you are submitting a booking request or a confirmed booking.
5.5 Payments
We do not collect payment through the My Favourite Garage App for garage services. All payments for garage services are payable directly to the relevant garage or third-party provider.
If the App links to third-party service plans or referral services, including services provided by EMaC, any payment and contract will be between you and that third party.
5.6 Other Vehicle Statistics
The My Favourite Garage App may allow you to view and enter further information about vehicles loaded onto your account, including tyre, engine, performance statistics, mileage and a customised image if you choose to provide one.
5.7 Marketing Preferences
Where permitted by law, and subject to your communication preferences, your Linked Garage may provide you with offers, updates and information about related services.
5.8 Third-Party Websites and Apps
We are not responsible for other websites, mobile applications or apps you link to via the My Favourite Garage App, except myfavouritegarage.com. Third-party websites and apps are not under our control, and we are not responsible for their content, services or privacy policies.
You should make your own independent judgement about whether to use any third-party websites, apps, products or services.
5.9 Required Information
We need certain information from you so that we can provide a My Favourite Garage App account, including your name, email address, mobile phone number, account authentication details and Linked Garage.
We may also need your vehicle registration number and key vehicle dates to provide vehicle management, reminder and booking functionality.
If you give us incomplete or incorrect information, we may not be able to register your account, send reminders, provide booking functionality, or provide other App features.
6. Our Rights to Make Changes to the App
6.1 Changes we may make
We may make changes to the My Favourite Garage App:
- To reflect changes in relevant laws and regulatory requirements.
- To implement technical adjustments and improvements.
- To fix errors or security issues.
- To add, remove or update features.
6.2 Automatic updates
From time to time, we may automatically update the My Favourite Garage App, including for the reasons outlined above.
6.3 Required updates
On other occasions, we may ask you to update the My Favourite Garage App. If you choose not to install updates or opt out of automatic updates, you may not be able to continue using the App.
6.4 Acceptance of changes
If you do not accept notified changes, you may not be permitted to continue using the My Favourite Garage App.
6.5 Withdrawal or suspension
We reserve the right to take such action as we consider necessary in relation to the My Favourite Garage App, including revising, suspending or withdrawing the App, in whole or in part.
7. If There Is a Problem With the Service
If you think the My Favourite Garage App is faulty, misdescribed, or you wish to contact us for any other reason, please contact us via www.myfavouritegarage.com or email [email protected].
8. How to End the Agreement With Us
You can always end your agreement with us. You may request account deletion via the App, by using any account removal link provided to you, or by emailing [email protected].
You can remove the My Favourite Garage App from your device at any time, but deleting the App from your device does not automatically delete your account or cancel all communications.
9. Our Rights to End the Agreement
9.1 When we may end the agreement
We may end your rights to use the My Favourite Garage App at any time by contacting you if you have broken these terms in a serious way. If what you have done can be put right, we will give you a reasonable opportunity to do so.
9.2 What happens if we end your rights
If we end your rights to use the App, you must:
- Stop all activities authorised by these terms, including use of the App.
- Delete or remove the App from all your devices.
We may suspend or disable your account and access to the My Favourite Garage App.
10. Our Responsibility for Loss or Damage Suffered by You
10.1 Foreseeable loss and damage
If we fail to comply with these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking this agreement or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for any loss or damage that is not foreseeable.
10.2 Liability we do not exclude
We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, the negligence of our employees, agents or subcontractors, and liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
10.3 Business losses
The My Favourite Garage App is for domestic and private use. If you use the App for any commercial, business or resale purpose, we will have no liability to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, or loss of business opportunity.
10.4 Damage to your property
If defective digital content that we have supplied damages a device or digital content belonging to you, we will either repair the damage or pay you compensation. However, we will not be liable for damage that you could have avoided by following our advice to apply an update offered to you free of charge, or for damage caused by failing to correctly follow installation instructions or minimum system requirements.
10.5 Limitations of the App
The My Favourite Garage App is provided for vehicle management, reminder, communication and booking-related purposes only. It does not provide legal, financial, insurance, roadworthiness, safety or professional vehicle advice.
You must not rely on the App as the only source of information about your vehicle, legal obligations, MOT, tax, insurance, servicing, maintenance, bookings or garage services.
10.6 Backing up content and data
You should keep your own records of important vehicle, booking, insurance, tax, MOT and maintenance information and should not rely on the App as your only record.
10.7 Suitability
The My Favourite Garage App has not been developed to meet your individual requirements. Please check that its facilities and functions meet your requirements.
10.8 Events outside our control
We are not responsible for events outside our control. If our provision of services or support is delayed by an event outside our control, we will take steps to minimise the effect of the delay.
10.9 Reminder guarantee
The submission of a request to receive a reminder is no guarantee that one will be issued, delivered, received, accurate or delivered on time. We are not responsible for reminding you to MOT, tax, insure, service, maintain or otherwise manage your vehicle.
11. How We May Use Your Personal Information
11.1 Privacy Policy
We will use your personal information in the ways set out in our Privacy Policy: https://www.myfavouritegarage.com/privacy.
11.2 Personal data and platform access
Personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. VMS, CAppLab Ltd (trading as Cotswold App Co.), your Linked Garage and relevant service providers may access or process personal data where necessary to operate, support, maintain, secure and provide the My Favourite Garage App and related services.
11.3 Communications
In order to provide reminder notifications, booking updates, account messages and other App-related services, we may contact you by SMS, push notification, email or other methods selected by you or made available within the App.
Marketing communications are subject to your communication preferences and applicable law. If you disable certain communication methods, we may not be able to provide some reminders, updates or App features.
11.4 Internet transmissions
Although we use appropriate security measures, internet communications and mobile networks are not guaranteed to be completely secure. You should take reasonable care when sending information through the App.
11.5 Technical data
We may collect and use technical information about the devices you use the App on, and related software, hardware and peripherals, where necessary to operate, support, secure and improve the App. This is explained further in our Privacy Policy.
11.6 Third parties
We will only give your personal information to third parties in addition to those detailed in the Privacy Policy where the law requires or allows us to do so.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Vehicle Management Systems Limited, CAppLab Ltd (trading as Cotswold App Co.), and our relevant service providers against reasonable losses, claims, costs, liabilities and expenses arising directly from your deliberate misuse of the My Favourite Garage App, your material breach of these terms, your unlawful use of the App, or information you provide that you know, or ought reasonably to know, is inaccurate, unlawful or infringes third-party rights.
13. Other Important Terms
13.1 Intellectual property rights
All intellectual property rights in the My Favourite Garage App belong to us or our licensors. The rights in the App are licensed, not sold, to you. You have no intellectual property rights in or to the App other than the right to use it in accordance with these terms.
13.2 Transfer by us
We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation. We will tell you in writing if this happens and ensure that the transfer will not affect your rights under the contract.
13.3 Transfer by you
You may only transfer your rights or obligations under these terms to another person if we agree to this in writing.
13.4 No third-party rights
This contract is between you and us. No other person has any rights to enforce any of its terms. This agreement does not give rise to any rights under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
13.5 Severability
Each paragraph of these terms operates separately. If any court or relevant authority decides that any part is unlawful, the remaining paragraphs will remain in full force and effect.
13.6 Delay in enforcement
Even if we delay in enforcing these terms, we can still enforce them later. A delay in taking steps against you does not prevent us taking steps at a later date.
13.7 Alternative dispute resolution
Alternative dispute resolution is a process where an independent body considers the facts of a dispute and seeks to resolve it without you having to go to court.
If you are not happy with how we have handled any complaint, you may want to contact the alternative dispute resolution provider we use. You can submit a complaint to the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR) via their website at https://www.cedr.com/consumer/. Information about CEDR’s process, eligibility and any applicable fees is available on CEDR’s website.
13.8 Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by English law and you can bring legal proceedings in respect of the My Favourite Garage App in the courts of England and Wales.
If you live in Scotland, you can bring legal proceedings in respect of the My Favourite Garage App in either the Scottish or English courts. If you live in Northern Ireland, you can bring legal proceedings in respect of the My Favourite Garage App in either the Northern Irish or English courts.
