The network, which is managed by the Independent Motor Trade Factors Association (IFA), has concentrated on providing a flexible package of benefits that independents can use in the way that suits their business best, without tying them into using specific products or suppliers.
The package is constantly updated to support members through changing business conditions. The latest addition to the programme is a timely special offer on tyre disposal, designed to help garages at a time when contractors are charging a fortune for their removal or, in some areas of the country, refusing to take them at all.
myFavouriteGarage.com has also negotiated some preferential rates on disposal of all hazardous waste for its members.
In addition, myFavouriteGarage.com members can take advantage of special rates for phone and broadband services, workwear hire and cleaning, insurance, courtesy car hire, online MOT test booking, and merchant services.
They also have access on demand to a confidential legal helpline for business and private matters, health and safety information, and business compliance advice.
The network has recently re-vamped and re-launched its website, which enables motorists to search online for a range of services, and offers network members a chance to have a free microsite.
myFavouriteGarage.com marketing manager said: “The IFA is made up of independent regionally based businesses, and they understand that independent local garages know best about running their business, and what their customers want and need.
“The myFavouriteGarage.com network is set up so that members can benefit from the buying power of a larger network and can also make a free choice from a range of additional benefits that can help them work more profitably and efficiently. The tyre disposal arrangement is just one example of the ways in which we aim to help them work smarter, but leave them free to choose.
“Beyond that, members who meet our stringent criteria have access to a share of fleet work which is currently valued at over £1m per year, and growing.”
myFavouriteGarage.com is actively expanding its network in some areas of the country and is looking for applications from quality independent businesses which can work to its Code of Practice.
